Borderlands Slot Machine Wiki

This article is a stub. You can help Borderlands Wiki by expanding it. Torgue Slot Machines or 'Fully Torgued Jackpot' machines are interactive objects introduced in Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage. Similar to normal Slot Machines, they can drop anything from weapons, live MIRV grenades, Torgue Tokens, or possibly more, depending on the result.

Slot machines are found in Moxxi's Den in Sanctuary, The Holy Spirits just outside Outlook, and in an abandoned house with two vendors outside in The Dust. By using them, cash will be taken from you and the three reels will spin. This cost scales upwards as the player progresses the main quest. Depending on what they stop on, you may be rewarded.

Slot cost is determined by the formula: 1.12^L * 48, where L is the items level, you may be rolling for items below or above your actual character level.

Lining up 3 of a kind gives you special rewards:

  • 7 — gives you a customization item.
  • Bandit Head — drops a grenade that deals massive damage in a large area, so get out of there fast! The machine will play a sound clip of someone saying 'Boom time!' and the grenade will beep much like a Suicide Psycho's grenade does.
  • Single Eridium Bar — will give you 4 Eridium.
  • Stack of 2 Eridium Bars — will give you 8 Eridium.
  • Stack of 3 Eridium Bars — will give you 12 Eridium and complete the 'Jackpot!' challenge.
  • Borderlands Logo — will give you an orange weapon of your level and complete the 'Jackpot!' challenge.
  • Markus Head — will give you a purple weapon of your level.
  • Leg — will give you a blue weapon of your level.
  • Cherry — will give you a green weapon of your level.
  • Bell — will give you a large amount of cash.

Other combinations containing the same symbol in the first two positions will give either a white weapon of your level (if the third symbol is a bandit head) or cash (if the third symbol is a bell or the first two are bells and the third anything other than a bandit head).

If there are no matches at all, or if symbols other than the first two match (i.e. A-B-A or B-A-A) a three note sound will play and no reward will be received.

Borderlands 2 Slot Machine Cheat

Borderlands Slot Machine Wiki

The mother of all cash-farming tricks has landed in Borderlands 3, and anyone that’s finished the game can benefit from massive payouts to Moxxi’s Slot Machines in Sanctuary. This trick essentially multiples the amount of cash you earn from the slot machines by a thousand.

There’s a few things you need to do first, but it’s really very easy — and I recommend doing it quick before the trick gets patched out of existence. This method was shared by Youtuber Glitching Queen. All kudos for this discovery go to her — she did all the math. All I see are huge money symbols in my eyes as I rake in the seemingly endless dough.

To increase the payouts at Moxxi’s Bar, you’ll need to do a little preparation. Spawn in Sanctuary, then go to the Mayhem Board — this trick requires some Mayhem, it may even require Mayhem 3. Turn on Mayhem III.

Don’t worry, you don’t actually have to fight anything. It also helps if you’re Level 50 — you’ll get bigger payouts the higher your levels. Also, make sure you’re doing this offline.

So, to reiterate, you need to be offline, and you need to activate Mayhem III. It might work while online, so it’s worth testing — some players say it still works, but I can only get it to work offline.

Next, you just need to travel to a new location. Go anywhere on any map — I travel to the Floodmoor Basin on Eden-6, but anywhere works. When you return to Sanctuary, all the money payouts at the slot machines are $1,000x bigger. That’s three more zeroes to every payout.

To really make big money, you need to keep playing until you get a huge three-cash payout. That’ll net you about $500,000~. The problem is? That’s pretty rare, so you’ll need to save up some cash before attempting this.

I recommend using the Tink Hijinx and Cash Trap machines. They’re right next to each other, and you can keep spinning forever. Goodluck out there Vault Hunters, there’s plenty of cash just waiting to collect.
